enjoyable horror comedy. feel like there was some subliminal messaging on the talent industry there at the end that really got the gears in my head spinning. alas, i am not roger ebert, i write reviews on letterboxd

Barbarian 2022
this only gets basic points for jumpscares. not really comfortable with the amount of sexual violence around the plots in this movie. deeply uncomfortable and not because it's scary but because the subject matter is kinda repulsive. not a fan of hollywood using these things as a crux for essentially a monster movie.

Kangaroo Valley 2022
this movie is just clean and pure cinematography with amazing narration. there's some anthropomorphizing of the animals here and there but i found myself way more invested than i thought i'd be. basically the lion king with kangaroos.
